Keswick is located in the Northern Lake District, 16 miles West of Penrith and the M6 in a truly remarkable location at the northern end of Derwentwater and attracts a wide range of visitors who enjoy the beauty of the area as well as the shops and attractions. As a market town, there are many shops, restaurants, cafes, galleries, a cinema, leisure centre, museum and a well reputed theatre. Enjoy a stroll through one of the local parks or down by the lake. Alternatively hire a boat and see the sights from a different viewpoint. There really is so much to do.

The Northern Lake District is a haven for walkers who visit for some of the best and most famous walks in England. Many visitors travel down Borrowdale Valley which is the most direct route to ascend Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England. But it’ snot just about walking, there are many other activities to choose from in the area including cycling, water sports, fishing, bird watching and golf.
